Historical note: The 1930s full-size slate snooker table was moved from the old Rowen Memorial Hall to the new Memorial Hall in 1980. The table weighs more than a tonne. The Snooker Room floor was strengthened with four heavy RSJ’s, one under each pair of snooker table legs. Each of the five pieces of Welsh slate weighs 200kg.
