13-step stile on Walk 7. Be careful!
Kate Humble in Rowen, August 2017
These very popular walks have been devised by Mark Crane, Minafon, Rowen. Feel free to print them. .
Note: Kate Humble stayed in Rowen for three weeks in August 2017, while filming nearby. She told us that she had walked nearly all of our ten Circular Walks from Rowen, with Teg her dog.
All of the walks are on quiet lanes and public footpaths.
-
Please follow the guidelines of the Countryside Code and the Dog Walking code. See links below.
-
Do not allow your dog to foul the footpaths.
-
The weather can change suddenly here. Go prepared.
-
Wear strong shoes or walking boots, and take waterproofs, warm clothing, hat and suncream (hopefully) and food and drink.
-
The walks are all on Ordnance Survey Uutdoor Leisure map OL17. We recommend that you use this map.
-
Walk 9 on Tal y Fan is a serious mountain walk.
-
The walks can be enjoyed at any time of the year.
