21st October 2020
We are planning to reopen the Memorial Hall, very cautiously, in mid November.
We have made the following changes…
New hand washing sink just inside the main door.
New extractor fans in the toilets.
Hand sanitizers, contactless and push button.
Snooker table sanitizer
Covid-19 signage and increased use of bilingual signs.
We have removed the unnecessary second door into the ladies’ and into the gents’ toilet areas, to reduce congestion.
Defined routes to ladies’ toilets and to gents’ toilets.
Defined route in and out for newspaper customers.
Vacant / Occupied sign on toilet area doors (in place, not shown in picture below). One person only in the ladies’ or gents’ toilet area at a time.
Energy saving LED lights have been fitted throughout the Hall (Not a Covid-19 requirement).
Our cleaner Kay Lewis has continued cleaning the Hall throughout the 6-month lockdown.
We have done Risk Assessments for the Hall and for each regular activity.
Reduced capacity, maximum 15 people for wellbeing classes (Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi) and Tuesday and Wednesday Art classes, and 20 people for audiences.
Social distancing plans to be supplied by Hall users wishing to use the kitchen.
Face coverings must be worn in the Hall, except for exercise classes.
